  • MAP data and usage
    • current unit Info Text- critical reading, defense of evidence, connection to real world
      • MAP Standards: Key Ideas, Details, General Ideas Concepts, Summary
      • Beams- MAP data/ IC
    • prior unit- focus on ACT prep
      • after ACT over weekend, students have said they felt prepared and everything was familiar - Students have felt more prepared for the ACT in both Kerr and Bolduc.  Both teachers are stressing growth on the ACT.   
    • Info Text Unit- Module 2 Risk Worth Taking
      • Short Answer
        • RAGE
      • different reading levels for different groups
        • on reading level to begin with- lower levels, move up to challenge
      • info text theme- identity, tribalism, stereotypes, groups, label
        • UI/text and Theme Statement/text
      • Summative Assessment- Thematic Narrative Essay
        • Risk Worth Taking
          • standing up for who you are, going with the crowd
          • what's right- humanity
        • universal ideas leading to theme
          • how it fits and connects to students and the world around them

Notes- Building Shut Down Day, Seniors will work on Post Secondary Plan, ILP and other materials needed for Backpack. Senior Advisory teachers will be facilitating.
